The Visionaries of Potential

At the Dion Black Foundation, we believe that talent is distributed equally, but opportunity is not. Founded on the principle of Community Restoration, we serve as a bridge for individuals who have the drive to succeed but lack the essential tools to compete in the 21st-century economy.

We are a 501(c)(3) domestic non-profit that doesn't just provide resources; we provide an entire ecosystem for professional elevation. From high-speed global connectivity to elite flight training, we are rewriting the narrative of what is possible for underserved youth and transitioning individuals.

Who We Support: (Ages 10-25+)
The Pipeline: Ages 10 to Professional

We don't just provide a one-time resource; we provide a lifelong pathway. Our support is tailored to meet students where they are and take them where they want to go.

  • Junior Scholars (Ages 10–13):

    • Focus: Digital Literacy & Introduction to STEM.

    • Support: Providing the first tablets and laptops needed for school success, alongside introductory workshops in coding and financial basics.

  • The Emerging Leaders (Ages 14–17):

    • Focus: Career Exploration & The Black Blueprint.

    • Support: High-school-aged youth receive mentorship and stability. This is where we introduce Aviation Ground School through our partnership with Lookup Flight Academy and early IT exploration.

  • The Professional Apprentices (Ages 18–25+):

    • Focus: Certification & Career Launch.

    • Support: Our most intensive tier. We support young adults as they pursue:

      • Aviation: Flight training and A&P mechanic certifications.

      • Technology: Advanced IT certifications (CompTIA, Cloud, Cybersecurity).

      • Finance: Financial literacy and SIE certification prep.

      • Re-entry: Comprehensive support for justice-impacted youth looking to rebuild their lives through high-value skills.
